What Is Resveratrol ? Resveratrol is an antibiotic that certain plants produce when they are invaded by bacteria and fungi. The antibiotic can also be made by chemical synthesis froma herbaceous plant called Japanese Knotweed wh8ich is also used by bees to yield quality nectar. Resveratrol Studies: Resveratrol has been found to extend life in yeast such as Sacchromyces Cervisiae and also in worms like Caenorhabditis Elegans and even in fruit flies. Through various studies resveratrol has also been known to effectively prevent the development of skin cancer in mice when a topical formulation of the antibiotic is used. The antibiotic can also improve endurance levels in mice and prevent neworodegenerative diseases by reducing the formation of plaque in animal brains. Certain studies have also shown that it has properties that can even serve as a form of defense when exposed to radiation. |
